Warranty Information
Our Exclusive Cover warranty policy protects most mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle. Most vehicles come with Gold Cover, but this varies depending on the vehicle's age and mileage. Please speak with the dealership to confirm your vehicle's cover level and whether you'd like to extend it.
We partner exclusively with Warrantywise, a trusted provider known for excellent service and comprehensive cover. For all claims, please refer to your warranty booklet to confirm what's included.
Before undertaking any repair work, you must contact the warranty provider for authorisation. All work must be completed by a VAT-registered, professionally qualified garage.
Important for Older Vehicles
For vehicles over 10 years old or with more than 100,000 miles, a limited 30-day warranty is provided. This warranty covers failure only, specifically where the vehicle is unable to start or drive due to a complete engine or gearbox failure.
Engine management lights, unusual noises, and general wear-and-tear items are not covered.
Any repair work must be authorised in writing before proceeding.
Repairs Authorised by NS & Sons Motors Ltd
In rare cases where NS & Sons Motors Ltd agrees to cover a repair, we follow the same standards used by Warrantywise. This includes the following requirements:
A full diagnostic report from a VAT-registered garage
Clear images showing the fault
The vehicle’s current mileage
Pre-approval from NS & Sons Motors Ltd before any work begins
Labour charges will be covered up to a maximum of £75 per hour
Any repairs carried out without meeting these requirements may not be eligible for reimbursement.
🔧 Additional Clauses for Older Vehicles
Limited Warranty Scope
Clarify that these vehicles are sold with the understanding that age and mileage significantly increase the likelihood of wear-related issues. Coverage is limited to major mechanical failures (e.g. complete engine or gearbox failure only).
Exclusions Clause
Clearly state that the following items are not covered:
Wear-and-tear components (e.g. clutch, brakes, suspension, exhaust, bushings, battery, etc.)
Diagnostic costs unless the failure results in an authorised repair
Oil leaks, minor fluid seepage, and intermittent faults
Electronics or sensors unless directly related to engine/gearbox failure
Inspection & Maintenance Clause
Recommend that older vehicles be serviced more frequently (e.g. every 5,000–7,000 miles) and confirm that lack of maintenance or failure to act on early warning signs may void any support.
Proof of Fault Required
Any claims must include:
Full diagnostic report
Photos/videos of the issue
Repair invoice from a VAT-registered garage
Confirmation that the fault resulted in the vehicle being undriveable
No Retroactive Reimbursement
State clearly that repairs undertaken without prior authorisation will not be eligible for reimbursement under any circumstance.
“Sold As Seen” Option (if applicable)
For very high-mileage vehicles, consider offering a discounted “sold as seen” option — with a signed acknowledgment from the buyer that no warranty applies except for legal minimums.
